Why does Dreamweaver get worse year after year?

I could easily go in a spree of curse words, insults, and a burn it all down tirade over Dreamweaver and how it is an abject disaster, compromising my ability to make a living in web development. But I won't because it doesn't do any good. Adobe, why do you hate us? Why do you torture us with masochistic glee. I've cancelled my subscription. Way to go, Adobe. Good riddance.

    Hi,

The general consensus is that Adobe doesn't commit a lot of resources to Dreamweaver, also along the way they have also dropped the ball on more than one occassion imo. For example the 2017 release that replaced the native code editor with an embedded version of Brackets which caused a multitude of issues and meant lost features .... I'd say it took them around two years just correcting all the issues that it caused... Unfortuntely it's been one step forward, two steps back half the time.... My honest opinion for what it's worth ....

Tools don't build great apps, people do.

Just curious, in what way did Dreamweaver compromise your abilities?

PATIENT: Doctor, doctor, will I be able to play violin after my surgery?

DOCTOR:  Yes, I don't see why not.

PATIENT:  Oh that's great news 'cuz I was never able to play violin before.

    🙂
