window.confirm() not working in dreamweaver 2018 CEP panel

Hi,

I am developing a CEP panel that needs some confirmation from the user, but the simple javascript confirm('message') doesnt seem to work. Is this something you cannot do from within CEP, or am I doing something wrong?.

my code is now basically this and runs fine without the confirm function.

var confirm = confirm("text");
if (confirm){
     go on
}
