app.open() not working

I am using jsx script to open the .indd file using jsx app.open() method. Upon running the script am getting "open" exception.

From My indd file info, i can see that the indd file is created using 16.1 version <xmp:CreatorTool>Adobe InDesign 16.1 (Macintosh)</xmp:CreatorTool>

I am using adobe InDesign 2021 Ver 16.3 x64 and InDesign server 2020 ver 15.0.2.323

Any error message is given or does it crash silently?
Does it happen with every file or just a particular one?
Did you try changing the script execution version and then try opening. This can be done via the following code

app.scriptPreferences.version = "15" //uses the InDesign CC2020 script engine for script execution

No error message shown. We tried try block also.

It happening only to INDD files created using 16.1 and for 15.1 its working

Did you try using different versions of InDesign? Does it only fail in 16.3?

I tried only in 16.3.

The indd files created in 16.1 is not working but 15.1 is working without any issues.
