Question

Impossible to download extensions on the exchange

Hi all,

I am having a weird problem, I can't download any extensions on the exchange website.

Every time I click on an extension, it loads for a bit and then refreshes the page and nothing happens.

I tried on macOS, Windows, Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge...

On top of that, if I click on "My exchange" it keeps saying that I need to log in to see my extensions, and I am logged in already.

Has anyone experienced that already?

Got the same problem as of today. Can't install any free Plugins. Did somebody find something that might help?

are you all using the cc desktop app to install your marketplace extensions?

I am—and when contacting support, that also was their advice. We discussed for a good 1/2 hr, I mentioned this thread, but support was not able to solve my issue. Eventually they asked me to forward my issue to an adobe.com -email address.

It looks to me installing extensions through Adobe CC Marketplace is completely broken.

I found the extensions I was looking for through their manufacturers, and installed them manually.

I have the same problem. All extensions for any Adobe applications are failing to load the same way. The download appears for a second and then just goes away.

I tried:

  1. Following all adobe tutorials on how to use Exchange
  2. Clearing all Adobe cookies
  3. Multiple browsers
  4. Changing my Adobe Account name and Screen name
  5. Changing my password, logging out and back again

… no help

You aren't the only experiencing this issue. You could try to reach out to Exchange Support, BUT this might become very frustrating. When I reached out to them, they were no help at all. Instead they caused lots of work and trouble.

I got the same problem. When I click on the button "Free" it shows the EULA and then a short loading animation but then nothing happens. Already cleared Cache. Tried a different Browser. Anyone got a solution or what to try next?

I have the same problem.

Some extensions are downloadable from the Creative Cloud Desktop application. And it works for those.

But many extensions are downloadable from the exchange site and all free extensions are impossible to download (I haven't tested with paid extensions).

All my apps are up to date. I logged out and login again from Creative Cloud Desktop application AND the Website.

Post fron 2018, but I'm having the same problem. Can't install plugins from Adobe Exchange. Clicking the blue install button with 'free' a spinning wheel pops up but nothing happens. Nothing installs. For some plugins a 'End-User License Agreement' shows on the screen but after accepting – nothing happens. Tried 3 different browsers and on two different computers on three different networks – same problem. Frustrating.

Reply to those who drop by. Problem – not being able to download plug-ins – is now fixed. Only thing I have done for my part is chaning the screen name and account name, so I guess that the Adobe Tech has done some work behind the scenes.

Hi Mathieu,

Sorry to hear about this. We're aware of an issue where some users couldn't acquire/install products on Exchange CC. We are rolling out a fix on October 26. Until then, you can sign out and then sign back in to Adobe Exchange to try and fix the problem. Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks,

Jonathan

In addition to Kglad's advice, I have experienced this problem. The cause, it turned out, was an old log-on that Adobe had not deleted when I changed it. I had also set my browser to remember the credentials and it kept logging me in with the old password. I still haven't been able to get Adobe to sort it from their end, but the solution was to log out, then log back in using the most current password. Also note that the Exchange needs a LOT of work. There are installation glitches, and if this is about Dreamweaver extensions, you will not be able to install anything if your hosen language in the CC App is English International. There are a few wee bugs to be fixed
