Question

Premiere.jsx app not behaving properly

Hello to each and everyone,

I’m quite new to Extension Development, but I’ve been working on web project for the last year.

There is a really weird problem that I can’t figure out to fix.

I found a “Example Extension” online for Premiere Pro which is supposed to show me some infos about the current session/sequence, but it is not working.

I figured out how to debug and it shows that the app property is not existing.

Does anyone know the reason why ?

I tested a bit and I’m not able to get the sequencename, since I’m also using app.

What version of PremierePro are you using? Bruce Bullis keeps the PProPanel example up-to-date with the latest Premiere Pro release and they frequently add new APIs to it. Unfortunately, there's no real good way to determine what version an API became available in. One sleuthy way to figure it out is to use GitHub's Blame feature. In this case, it looks like the sequence name access APIs came in the very latest version of Premiere Pro (v12.0.0 - CC2018).
