Am unable to save edits to slice links in CS5

So today I tried to make a small edit to an html link I had previously created in a sliced image. I was able to make the edit but upon leaving that dialogue and later coming back to it the link had returned to what it was before. Tried multiple times in different ways to make the edit including removing the link completely but it just returned as soon as I saved the document or moved away and returned to the link creation dialogue.

 

Could this be a bug or am I missing something?

    Try running Fireworks as administrator.

    FYI, the HTML output from Fireworks is not really up to the job in 2022.

    without seeing the PNG file, it's complicated to estimate what could be the corruption.

    Well, you could try, before editing the file, to save it as a different named file, that way FW will necessaraly write again the file from scratch. And try again the edit to see if the corruption went out.
