"Dashed curve" with this corners on each dash

I cannot figure out how to make this dashed curve as shown below:


I can only make it like this with the vector tools provided in Fireworks CS6:

Is there a way to make dashed curves with straight edges on their cuts?

No, unfortunately not possible. Dashes and dash control in Fireworks is very limited.

What tools can create this dash?

Try using heavy dash for the outline type then you will probably need to adjust the softness of the outline in the proprrties panel. I think thats the nearest you'll get
