Don't update to Catalina OS if you still want Fireworks

BIG MISTAKE!!!  No matter what anyone says, if you are on a Mac you cannot run Fireworks after updating to Catalina OS 64 bit.  Trust me... I spent my whole Saturday trying.  Finally, I gave up.  I spent my whole SUNDAY rolling back to Mojave.  Come to think of it, Mojave warned me last year that future updates would be 64bit.   😐

It wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't literally have 1000's of layered FW proprietary PNG files that no other program can open.  Guess I should start converting to PSD's preparing them for the inevitable.

Moral of the story???  If you love your Fireworks, DON'T update.  PSA!!

Yes, afraid so ... Fireworks is 32 bit and won't run on Catalina so you either need to roll back to Mojave, set up a dual boot or switch to Windows.  Fireworks was put into EOL (End of Life) status by Adobe back in 2013 (an extrememly ignorant decision IMO as they really never understood how good it is), so it highly unlikely there will ever be a 64 bit version.

I thought of dual boot, but Applecare told me that I wouldn't really NEED to update to Catalina for another year or so when other programs out there require it.  I can make love to my FW for another couple of years.  Woo-hoo!  Thanks for the feedback, Paul.
