Fireworks asking to renew License

Question

Hi, we are a small school in the UK with a 55-user shared device license to Creative Cloud. A while ago, I created a package for Fireworks as our Head of Art needed a specific function that apparently is not avaiable in any other package. In the last few days, Fireworks has stopped working and is asking us to renew our license for Creative Cloud. When I click on the Try Again button a message appears saying "validating license" but that fails and it returns to the original error message. We did renew our CC license for another year recently so I'm not sure why this has stopped working - all the other apps are still ok. I note that Fireworks no longer appears as an option when I try to create a new package and select the Show Older Versions option. Help!

Don't bother with Adobe Support, even though they still supply Fireworks with CC (if you look hard enough), they point blank refuse to help with any issues relating to it, which is infuriating. Thank god for the internet. To solve the licence issue (stolen from elsewhere but worked for me):

Locate C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe

Right click => compatibility tab => Check the 'run this program as an adminstrator' checkbox => click the 'OK' button

For good measure do a system restart.
