Question

Keeps asking for a serial number ...

This has been mentioned several times here. I have uninstalled and re-installed Fireworks from Creative Cloud. Says my "trial" is over and gives me two options: Buy Now or License the Software, BOTH of which are deadends. I rely on this program. Where do we go from here?

    Hi @Tim Miner,

You need a paid ALL APPS plan to access Fireworks.  Just to confirm that your account is indeed active and payment details are current, log-in to your Adobe account below.

    https://account.adobe.com/plans

Assuming everything is active & current,

    1. Open CC Desktop App.
    2. Click your Avatar (top right image) > Preferences > General tab > Settings. Select "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date."
    3. Click on your Avatar again.
    4. Sign-out of Creative Cloud.
    5. Close all apps.
    6. Restart your computer.
    7. Open CC Desktop app.
    8. Click your Avatar.
    9. Sign-in with your paid ID and password.

Failing that, have a look at this help article.  Remove entries from Host file.

    Nancy -

I tried both approaches to no avail. Thanks anyway.

    Try this:

navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe => right click PDapp.exe => compatability tab => check 'run this program as an adminstrator => click OK

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS6\Fireworks.exe => right click the exe => compatability tab => make sure 'run this program as an administrator' is NOT checked. *This is important, by some quirk if Firewoks is run as an adminstrator too, this workaround will not work..

Do a system restart for good measure and see if you can launch/run Fireworks without the nag screen
