Re: Fireworks CS6 Update Error [Branched to new topic]

Fireworks stopped working for me yesterday. It was asking for a serial number. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but now it keeps saying the Adobe Application Manager is missing or corrupt.  

I wish Adobe would start supporting this program again.  It was one of the primary reasons I subscribed to Adobe Cloud.

For full Creative Cloud subscribers there have been a few weired workarounds, if you are on Windows try this:

 

1) Completely uninstall Fireworks and reboot your machine

 

2) Download an offline Fireworks installer from here and **note** the important step of having to visit this page first and logging in with your Adobe credentials (they are  links to official Adobe installers and you need to set an Adobe cookie first before attempting to download).

 

3) After installing Fireworks with an offline installer, follow these following steps:

 

navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe => right click the exe => compatibility tab => check 'run this program as an administrator => click OK

 

 

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS6\Fireworks.exe => right click the exe => compatibility tab => make sure 'run this program as an administrator' is NOT checked.

 

There is also a quirky workaround to get Fireworks running which involves installing Adobe Muse (search the Fireworks forum for 'Muse' for more info).

 

Some Mac users seem to have had some joy by just installing the Fireworks with a Mac offline installer

Just to clarify, do you have an active paid Creative Cloud ALL APPS Plan?

I have the same issues with Fireworks it stops working. I do have an active  Creative Cloud All Apps Individual Plan. is there one could address this issues. Thanks
