Solution to opening and exporting existing Firework png's but preserving their layers in both -import/export?

Now that Adobe will not let anyone use anyform of Fireworks, I need  a solution in opening and exporting existing Firework png's but preserving their layers in both -import/export?

Photopea (an online Photoshop clone) loads layered FW png files and allows you to export as a layered psd file for import into other apps.

The conversion is not perfect: vectors are, I believe, converted to bitmap, for example.
