Question

Unable to install Fireworks12 upgrade

These are my steps:

  1. Run Fireworks_12_LS16.exe
  2. Hit Next
  3. Install says I have a pending restart - I restart and it does the same thing again so I click "ignore" and continue
  4. On Welcome screen I select "install" rather than try
  5. enter Fireworks 12 serial number when prompted
  6. Next window says the serial number is valid but cannot find qualifying product on the computer so it asks for the serial number of qualifying product.
  7. select Adobe Fireworks CS5 from dropdown
  8. enter qualifying serial number for ADOBE DESIGN PREMIUM5.5
  9. Hit Next
  10. "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another"

I chatted with support and they confirmed my serial numbers are correct for those products and they suggested I come here for additional help.

Can someone help me?

Thank you.

Geniene

We can't help you.  I don't know why Customer support sent you here.  Perhaps it's because their hands are tied by the fact that CS5 is discontinued and unsupported as are all Creative Suite products.  Support can do nothing except an activation count reset.  Beyond that, you're entirely on your own.

If you have a paid Creative Cloud ALL APPS plan and an older operating system that supports 32-bit apps, you can still access discontinued Fireworks CS6 (the last version Adobe made) from your CC Desktop App.   Tick the box to Show Older Versions.
