The vector pen tool is pixelated and the letters i type on my document are pixelated too when they are supposed to be vector based.

For vector images, use a vector image editor -- Illustrator or Inkscape  --  and export as SVG.

Scalable Vector Graphics are math-based, not pixel-based.  Vectors can be scaled up or down to any size without loss in quality.   Raster images like JPG, GIF and PNG can't do that.

Firework is a combined vector and bitmap editor, it combines core tools for both in a user friendly way .... Despite Adobe abandoning it this is why there are still a lot of people who actively use it ... You can also export to vector formats and with the help of some of the add-ons available you can import and export in SVG format too.. If you don't use Fireworks  or understand what it can do I suggest you stop posting in the Fireworks forums.

So you should only post here if you understand everything about Fireworks?

Fireworks always renders vectors to a bitmap. Your document resolution might be very low, and cause the pixels to be more visibly apparent. Or you picked an aliased stroke (for example: Hard Line).

To answer your question we would need more information. Can you provide us with a screenshot? Or a file?

I'm assuming you mean after export? Can you confirm what format you are exporting to?

The only format that exports vector properly is the Illustrator format, but still thanks for the help

If you want to export to a flat format try chaNging the resolution of your image to 300
