PLEASE would SOMEONE assist me!!!!!! I am 3 Days in with Whiteboxes where clips or video should be playing!!!!!  I am a 32 bit OS, Win Vista (SP2)

I have unistalled and reinstalled Flash from the sites I have found posted in other threads in this forum with similar problems as mine- the most recent 20 minutes ago from the link fpdownload.macromedia.com

I have gone to the tool through adobe that checks the latest version you have, it ALWAYS says it's installed.

I have updated all drivers(Nvidia) as well as Browser updates for Firefox and Chrome, and installed newest Java and the other Adobe plugins.

I have checked my firewall, it is allowing all

I have gone into the flash manger, it is allowed to store

I have even signed up here in this forum to try to get some help....

In other threads, there was information about deleting old Flash files in the Macromed Folder but it appeared to be a workaround for people using IE which I do not, I use Firefox and sometimes Chrome? Would I need to do this anyway??

I have been able to watch clips in youtube? with no problem>>>>>but game sites or facebook games for example load everything except the imgae for the game - just blank - no message that plugin failed, if I right click while it's attempting to load I can not get flash manager box only a script box that says

Movie not loaded

About Adobe Flash Player 10,3,183,10

ANY ASSISTANCE IS APPRECIATED!!!!!!

that is the screen I have seen for 3 days when checking - all was fine until Friday when I updated Flash - have not been able to view/play since.

Any addtl info needed please let me know - THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

May have almost solved?

Used the standalone uninstaller again from link in a previous forum answer - turned off firewall (CA Security Suite version 7.0.0.279)

Went to Adobe through link to confirm uninstalled - installed newest version from Adobe Version 10.3.183.10

Confirmed install at Adobe, flash plays and newest version in shown installed in small white box.

THEN with fingers crossed, again attempted to go to site where content would not load....worked!!!! although I did have to REload page 1x

If possible could someone tell me if the firewall was what prevented the actual upload of all activeX?  Note! I never had an error message that prev attempts did not install, and was able to view some content? Also noted currently in the macromed folder I see the icon for FlashUtil10x_Plugin - previous times there was initials like cccd aih? after the description, was this a factor as well?

Thank you again if anyone sees this and can answer

Again OS is Win Vista 32bit sp2, Firefox version 6.0,

Yeah, I had to log on to this messgae board, also, and I am as lost as when I got here.

Are you saying to disable the firewall then try and download SAVE and RUN the flash player?

yes. - but before I did that I used the uninstaller from Adobe, then I went to the site and downloaded the new flash - Next, In the bottom toolbar next to clock there is a tray W/ icons, find your antivirus symbol, right click and you should get a menu with Internet as an option and the option to disable firewall

then run. You should have been able to save the run file in either a downloads folder or your desktop so that after you disable firewall you don't need to go online and get it -  When done, it should take you back to Adobe and confirms the latest edition is installed etc.,  turn back on the firewall - I did a reboot as well.

So far so good...
