32 or 64 bit?

Hi, I am a new member and not at all tech savvy. I use windows 7 pro and a 64 bit system. I play flash player games like battle pirates and seaport and they asked me to install the latest shock players. They run very laggy and I noticed that the shock player version downloaded was 32 bit while my system is 64 bit? a couple of questions, should I uninstall the 32 bit player and install 64 bit player? anything I can do to stop the laggy and jumpy performance when playing these games. My partner using the same router and playing the same games hs no issues?

In general, we ship both the 32 and 64-bit variants in the same package. The bitness of the Flash Player that's actually used is going to be determined by the bitness of the host browser. If you're running a 32-bit browser, you're getting 32-bit Flash Player. If you're running a 64-bit browser, you'll get 64-bit Flash Player.

In reality, you're diagnosing yourself, and it probably has nothing to do with bitness at all. I'd start at rebooting the machine, and playing the game in the browser as the only running application with only a single open and active tab. Each open tab consumes resources.

If performance is good when you're running just the one browser with the game, you know you're pushing the machine too hard at some point. You'll have to find that sweet spot with what you can do simultaneously.

If performance is still terrible, then I start wondering about stuff like whether or not you have current graphics drivers installed, but it's early to go down that road.
