Question

Admin account required for games

I have an issue that I haven't found an answer for. At some point earlier this year, an update moved the ability for non-admin accounts to click in the window on Flash bases games. The particular games that I know of are the Disney games that my children love to play. The only way to get them to run correctly is to launch the browser as an admin and that defeats the purpose of putting them on the account with limited access. The same is true with the WebCam. If I launch a private browsing session, I don't have all of the options in the camera settings dialog. Using the same account on the same machine, I can launch a regular browsing session and it works as expected.

I need to be able to allow my kids to play games without giving them full access to the browser and I want to be able to do web conferences from the private browsing sessions like I was able to do before. What do I need to do to get this resolved? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The best resource, if you have the time and patience to go through is Flash Player Admin Guide

    http://www.adobe.com.gt/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/flash/articles/flash_player_admin_guide/flash_player_admin_guide.pdf

Refer to the sections detailing configurations and mms.cfg file (Chapters 4 and 5) that would help you tighten/loosen Flash Player security.

    Cheers
