Adobe 20 crashing in Firefox 43

I have honestly spent hours trying to fix this, I have to use another browser to use flash. I have tried every solution I can expect one. That is turning off hardware acceleration, and the reason I have not tried that solution is that Flash crashes before I can even right click on it to bring up the settings to turn it off.. Even on the Adobe sight. All I get is the Adobe Crashed with the little frowny face. And right clicking on that does nothing..

Some help would be nice..

Can you please try:

uninstalling/reinstalling the flash player on the Firefox browser

updating the Firefox browser to the latest version

If you have already these, can you please provide more information about your issue:

Operating system version
Flash Player version
Explain your problem in step-by-step detail if possible

I have uninstalled Flash and reinstalled at lest 6 times..

I am using the latest edition of flash downloaded today. Lasted edition of Firefox downloaded today, and the latest Nvidia drivers..

Running Windows 10 64..

step by step.. When i go to a page like say this one, Flash Player Help

or this one I-95 FM - Listen Live

Just to name two..

I get this...

After hours of trying all the solutions I can find on the net, there is only one that I cannot try to fix this, and that is turning off hardware acceleration. Because if I right click on the image I do not get the settings menu. this happens on all sites using flash, expect those using HTML5... I have to use another browser ( Chrome) if I want to use Flash.

Hi

You can disable hardware acceleration for firefox through firefox settings as mentioned in the below link :

If that doesn't work, try adding "DisableHardwareAcceleration=1" (without double quotes) to the below mentioned files

1. c:\Windows\System32\Macromedia\flash\mms.cfg

2. c:\Windows\SysWow64\Macromedia\flash\mms.cfg

Please notes that:

You might not have permission to update it. Hence copy the file to different location, edit the file than replace with it with the original file.
Its always a good practice to create a backup of the original file
The file will not open in the notepad. You can use Notepad++ or any other texteditor.

If the problem still persists, please share the dxdiag of your machine.

type "dxdiag" in the start menu
