Adobe Acrobat asking for Flash installation

Hi,

I'm trying to play a video in a PDF I exported from InDesign and it won't and pops up with the error message:

TO view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install the required version of Flash Player - Learn more [link].

The link takes me here - Adobe Flash Player needed for Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat Reader

I have downloaded and installed the reader and the message continues to pop up.

I can't see any updates in my Creative Cloud for Acrobat or Flash so am stumped!

Acrobat uses the NPAPI plugin, the wrong file may be downloading.  Please do the following:

  • go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions
  • in step 1, select your OS
  • in step 2, select 'Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI'
  • click 'Download Now' to download the installer
  • locate the downloaded installer file on your system
  • double-click to launch it
  • follow on-screen prompts to install it
