Hi,

I tried updating my flash player today and encoutered a problem, everything was going smoothly, DLM (for firefox) downloaded properly and restarted firefox, afterwards it showed a prompt saying it's installing the add-on DLM, however, it did no finish and just closes without closing the browser and not even getting to the part where it's suppose to be downloading the flash player. i tried restarting the browser and downloading again but this time it wont even initiate download for the DLM that'll download the player.  I don't think there's anything conflicting my installation because i've successfully installed it before, My OS is windows xp sp3 and my firefox version is 3+. Hope someone can help me. thanks

Hi, sorry you are having problems. Go to Add/Remove, find the DLM/getplus(if there) and Remove both and Reboot.

Then using FF(Firefox) see if there is any getplus, get_atlcom or a DLM Control in plugins, add ons or extensions and remove them if possible; if not disable them.

Are you Installing Flash Player into IE? I'll give you the offline Uninstaller and Installer links that you download and SAVE to your Desktop and run from there.

    Let me know.

Also what anti-virus do you have installed?

    Thanks,

I've removed the DLM add-on on firefox but it still wouldnt install, However, there is a download manager on my add remove programs and havent tried uninstalling it, I've successfully installed adobe flash on IE7 though. I have avast5 running on my pc.

Hi, The purpose of getting rid of the DLM and all of their add ons was so you could use the offline Installers and avoid the problems.

Avast is not a problem with Flash Player, thankfully it is one of the very few or perhaps the only one:-)

Since I replied to you, post back and let me know where you Installed from and did you Install into IE and FF?

This is what I posted previously:
