Question

adobe flash 21 freezes my pc

I downloaded the new flash player 21. Every 5 seconds an error message pops up...."flash player busy...stop plugin....continue".....it pops up and disappears so quickly you can't even click on an option. And if I do manage to be able to click an option nothing changes.  This goes on continually even if I am just on a google home page. I have an ASUS pc just purchased last year and using Firefox. Everything is up to date on my pc. I have tried every suggestion I have found on-line that I was able to do and nothing has worked. I had to delete it finally as I couldn't even check my email.  Tried to get Adobe support and can't believe the only way to get help is to ask other people who don't work for Adobe!  No phone support and no way to contact them directly for assistance! Seems as though they don't care about their users very much. Tried to find version 20 to use that instead but all links take me to the crappy new 21 THAT DOES NOT WORK! And the community postings lists do NOT even have the correct category listed for my problem so I must list it under some other title and hope some one can help.

operating system.... windows 8.1

web browser and version.....  Firefox 46.0.1

flash player version.....  the newest one 21

When I install the flash player I get a pop up message every 3 seconds....it comes up and goes away so fast you can't click on any option. When I manage to hover where it appears and do manage to click on any option, nothing changes and it just keeps coming up again and again. Makes it so that I can't hardly get on the web, check my email, get on farmville or anything until I delete the player an then I can't get on farmville as it uses the flash to be able to play. Had to try numerous times just to be able to get a screen shot of the pop up.  Thank you for trying to help me with this.

The dialog you're showing indicates that Flash content on the page is running slowly.  This is typically the result of CPU contention.  In your instance, it sounds like it's performing poorly, but not so badly that it completely locks up.  The dialog is there to prevent the content from completely locking up your machine, forcing a reboot or a force quit in the browser.

Farmville is CPU intensive, and if you're running a lot of open tabs simultaneously, closing them would be my first recommendation.  Also, you're going to get much better performance using 64-bit Firefox, which you can download here: Mozilla Firefox Web Browser — Download Firefox in your language — Mozilla
