Has anyone had this issue and if so could you provide me a resolution?

I am trying to install flash player. I have Win 7 64 but I.E 32 BIT so Flash 64 will not install errors at 60%.

I tried flash 32 and I get A Required file (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil32_18_0_0_232_ActiveX.exe:3) could not be installed.

    Hi ralphj92754798,

The Flash Player installer is a universal 32/64-bit installer that works on both 32- and 64-bit operating systems.  64-bit Windows 7 actually has both the 32- and 64-bit versions of IE, but the 32-bit is the default.

I'm not sure what you mean by "I tried flash 32 and I get A Required file (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil32_18_0_0_232_ActiveX.exe:3) could not be installed."

Please post a screenshot (see How to post a screenshot in the forum‌) of the installer dialog window with the error and upload the FlashInstall.log files saved at C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash AND C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash using the instructions How to share a document

    Thank you.

    Hi ralphj92754798,

Thanks for posting the screenshot.  It's very helpful. This could be due to a permissions issue.  Please provide the two FlashInstall.log files saved at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash.

The forums don't accept attachments and the files will most likely be too large to cut & paste into the reply.  You can share the files using the following instructions:

    1. Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/send
    2. Log in using your Adobe ID (same ID used to log into the forums)
    3. Click the Add Files button in the upper right
    4. Follow instructions to select and upload the files
      • You can select a file individually or drag and drop multiple files
    5. When finished adding files, click Continue
    6. Ensure the Create Anonymous Link radio button is selected
    7. Click Create Link
    8. Copy the auto generated link and paste it in your reply

    Thank you.
