I have the same problem. Don't know what to do. I tried everything but upgrade. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.  Prawn3

I think I solved my problem! At one point I actually saved the Flash installation file rather than just run it from the Adobe site. Last night, I read on one site that I should try installing the saved file as the Administrator - it worked with Internet Explorer! However, when I ran Firefox, I had to install again, and when I did, it worked for this browser. I was a little tired at this time, so I can't remember if I installed Flash for a third time with Chrome, but when I checked with this browser, Flash was working.

I do have to wonder, though, if it's all going to all fall apart again as I've been running this PC for almost a year without a glitch.

I am running Internet Explorer 9 and trying to install Flash as it stopped working all of a sudden. It works on Chrome and Firefox. ActiveX Filtering was never an issue as it has been disabled. When trying to install Flash, the error message states that the installation was unsuccessful. Should I consider uninstalling Internet Explorer and re-installing it? I have a 64-bit PC with Windows 7 Home.
