Adobe flash player 13 failed to register, but...

Adobe flash player installed on latest version of Firefox and in my add/remove programs -- Windows XP.  But, it failed to install on IE8.

Trying to install adobe flash player 13 gave me an error it failed due to it could not register.

Any ideas on how to have it installed on IE8?

Use the MSI installer: http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_13_active_x.msi

It cures this.

Create another account (an Admin) and try it under that account.

If ti works, your user account has problems.
