    Same problem here.
Vista Desktop has no problems after cleaning all residu,
XP Notebook still has a problem. Not only first refusing to install before extra cleansing but now even producing a NETWORK failure! notification.
No other update/installer seems to be having that problem at the moment on my notebook however. Only the Flash-software.

I'm planning to rebuild my pages now. I want to reach more people then only those happy few that will be able to 'Upgrade' their players flawlessly. *

Same issue here volcanocave. I did not download the SubInACL however.
I lost Flash Player ability while away on vacation from 10/23 thru 11/10.
I'm running WindowsXP and wondering if some auto security update from MS has caused the problem.
