Thanks for bearing with me!---Just installed flash again (AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_15_ltrosxd_amc_aih.dmg) downloaded from Adobe - Message that install was successful. I'm still getting mixed messages. On my system prefs it says Flash is up to date on this system. When I take the steps above and "Check Now" it tells me Flash is not installed. I am using a spanking new top of the line MacBook Pro with all Adobe software recently downloaded from Cloud. Safari Version 7.0.6 (9537.78.2).

OK 2 minutes ago it was telling me Flash is not installed on this system. Just re checked "Check Now )" so I could paste the exact wording and ...Congratulations, your computer has the latest Flash Player installed.

thanks again ...not sure how it fixed itself. Maybe you are a wizzurd

The only change I can remember making throughout the process is to select "Allow Plug Ins" on "security" in the Safari prefs. You may have posted this instruction earlier or I would not have thought of doing it?

You've probably got a "latent" plug-in still in your Library.

Give it a "clean install": How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

I have been having this same problem since I upgraded to Cloud. Flash viewer does work on YouTube but most sites  ask me to upgrade when I click on a video. At one time I got an error message informing me my settings only allow software uploaded from the App Store. (New Macbook Pro-purchased Aug 2014)   I can not find the preferences to change this setting and the downloaded version from the AppStore (AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_14_ltrosxd_amc_aih 10.34.11 AM.dmg) did not make a difference. Would this be classed as an Adobe support or  Apple support issue?

Hello,

Flash Player is not delivered from the Apple Mac Store. You can get the latest version of Flash Player at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.

As for the file name you posted, AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_14_ltrosxd_amc_aih 10.34.11 AM.dmg, is the actual file name of an app posted to the app store?  None of the file names have '10.34.11 AM' in them, so I'm curious as to where you obtained this file from.
