Question

Adobe Flash Player

I am trying to watch a video and I'm getting the message as follows:

"Unable to install lthe Adobe Protected Content module.  click here to upgrade your player.  Ok."

When I click there and try to install to upgrade, it doesn't do anything, just goes back to the same message.

Does anyone know what this message means and what I have to do to be able to view the video?  I also have problems when I try to view a video on Facebook (something I have noticed earlier when I tried to do that).

Thank you.

Updating to a current version of Flash Player should solve this:

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

If you're still running into trouble, try the following:

    Launch the Control Panel

    Click Flash Player

    Click the Advanced tab

Scroll down to the bottom and choose Deauthorize This Computer

(This removes all of the Protected Content credentials, but should get you going.  You may need to log out and back into your video service afterwards.)

What is your operating system & version?

    What is your web browser?

What is your Flash Player version?

No problem; it just takes a little longer to give you advice without all relevant information.

Download the offline installer for Internet Explorer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_header and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
