Adobe Flash Player downloaded but not being recognized - Windows 10/Edge

Hi there. I am having a problem where Adobe Flash Player is downloaded and turned on in my browser (Microsoft Edge) but sites such as Connect McGraw-Hill and Sapling Learning (Both educational online homework sites) are saying that my flash player is not enabled or downloaded. I have tried turning flash player on and off, downloading the newest version, restarting my computer, reaching out to Adobe chat helpers who referred me here, and following solutions on other forums.  I wanted to uninstall and reinstall flash player but since it is already automatically in Windows 10 it wont let me do this.  How do I fix my problem??
