adobe flash player installation

Question

I have tried installing the new adobe flash player on my macbook.  The installation keeps stopping at 90% and then after a few minutes tells me that it cannot complete the installation.  I uninstalled the previous version of adobe and tried reinstalling it didn't work.  I've updated my OS X system to see if that would help, still no change.
