Have Windows 8.1 and Adobe Flash Player is installed and working OK. When trying to view pages from BBC News will not read and says wrong Flash Player installed. Adobe trouble shooter says all OK. Have tried Steps to troubleshoot Flash Player on Windows 8 1.Enable Flash Player 2.Disable ActiveX Filtering 3.Update Internet Explorer to get latest version of Flash Player as directed. No change, still cannot see BBC News feeds. Help please

Can you post a link to where you get this problem?

What is your installed Flash Player version: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html ?

What is the full and exact message you are getting?  (A screenshot is OK.)

Hi Pat,

Thank you for this, it made me think! I accessed BBC News through the

Windows 8.1 Apps and the Flash Player DOES NOT work from there. However I

right clicked on the mouse which allowed me to open the window in my Web

Browser (Google Chrome) and the Flash Player works from there.

So I have overcome the problem to allow me to use the Flash Player but it

does NOT answer the question on why it does not work from Windows 8.1 App

Is that an app that you downloaded from BBC?  Does it perhaps require the Flash Player plugin?  If so, install it from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe
