adobe flash player out of date

hi i am using mac and flash player always out of date after only a few weeks of installing! adobe sent me notifications asking to install the new one instead of autoupdating it therefore i have to uninstall the old out of date one then install the new one so that there wont be multiple adobe flash player in my mac. why cant it autoupdate itself so that people wont have to go through all the troubles of installing again and again? and the worst is that it is out of date very quickly not even a month! what should i do to fix this? sorry i am not tech savvy so i dont know much. thanks!

    Adobe has no control regarding a browser vendor's decision to mark a version of Flash Player as being out-of-date. We released a new version of Flash Player last week on June 16.  If you installed Flash Player prior to that then you had the previous version and most likely the reason the browser was marking it as being out-of-date.  The best way to keep Flash Player up-to-date without user interaction is to opt into Background Updates, as Kratika has suggested.  When a system is enrolled in Background Update Flash Player is updated within 24 of a release, again, no user interaction required.

    i have done what kratika suggested but i still have to do it manually myself every single time every few weeks and its a hassle when i have to restart the browser while in the middle of something

    Hi,

    Scheduled Flash Player releases occur every month, normally on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.  This month we released 2 days later.

    Flash Player no longer requires the browser be shut down to install, unless you are re-installing the same version.  Firefox is able to load the newly installed/upgraded version by refreshing the tab.  Unfortunately, Apple has not implemented this feature in Safari, therefore Safari does require a restart to load the newly installed/upgraded version of Flash Player.

    If you enroll in Background Updates, as has been previously suggested, Flash Player will upgrade silently in the background within 24 hours of an update being released.  This is the most seamless way of updating Flash Player.

    Hi,

    The best option to updated all Flash Player versions on the system is to opt into background Updates.  When installing Flash Player select the 'Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)' option.  After Flash Player is installed go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items > Flash Player > Updates tab > select 'Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended) option.
