Adobe Flash Player requires me to click "OK" each time I need it?

My Flash Player refuses to run automatically, can anyone help? I'm tired of clicking OK each time I need it as I browse. This only started 2 weeks ago. Before that there were no problems so, I'm embarrassed to say that I must have somehow caused this myself. So far, I've gone to my "plugins" page and everything is set as "enabled".  I'm not sure what else to do. I have Win XP Home, Adobe flash player 11 installed. I hope someone can help.

If anyone is still having this problem, I solved my issue by clicking on the Opera tab in the top left corner and switching "Opera turbo" to off.

I was also having problems waiting for videos to load and getting a "Adobe/Shockwave plugin is slowing down your computer" error message.  This solved that problem as well.

chrome://plugins [type in Chrome address bar]

Flash Player

Enable AND CHECK 'Always Allowed'

It was the 'Always Allowed' unchecked that gave me that annoying puzzle piece and required clicking each time.

Hope it works for you!

I am having this same problem, only I'm on a Mac running Mavericks, using Google Chrome. I just recently updated the flash player and that's when this started. Safari is not having this problem. I do have 4 extensions running:

Has anyone found a solution to this yet? diegopoop's resolution appears to be for Opera only. Thanks!

I suspect you haven't done anything wrong.  Let's start by taking a look at what version is reported as being installed.  Please visit this page and let us know if you see an animation and what version is displayed.

Flash Player Version

Thanks,

Chris

When I went to the Flash Player Version link you suggested, the window that

was to display an animated scene, I saw a dark grey background with puzzle

piece and a message "Click to run Adobe Flash Player". Once I clicked on it

there was a ball moving back and forth and a message saying "Flash Player

is running on your system." I checked the version I have by going to my

"Add or Remove Programs" in my Control Panel and the version is

11.6.602.180.

This sounds like you have a third party extension installed that is stopping Flash from running by default.  What web browser are you using?
