adobe flash player update "issues"

About 2 days ago, I received notification that Adobe Flash player had an update or upgrade...  As I have Adobe products on my PC and have used Adobe for years, I permitted this update to run.  Immediately after it was finished - problems ensued.  Since the update, I now get a pop-up warning every time I click on firefox.  Since the update, I now have to DOUBLE-CLICK on everything on the internet.  I trusted Adobe - seems that was my first mistake.

    You have "malware".

    It didn't come from here, but it is most likely using Flash Player to manifest itself.
