adobe flash player windows xp

im running windows xp and i have downloaded flash player and when i try to play a game i get a message saying i need to get flash player 8 or higher...then another window pop's up and says i need permission what can i do to fix this problem i also tried on ie7 and firefox...can someone anyone please help i would really appreciate it

    Yes I recommend in clearing all of the files history, cache etc

    This is a far-shot, but there might be some kind of memory conflict.

    Try clearing the cache, deleting the setup file, restarting in safe mode with networking, and try installing there (with all other programs stopped).

    You should first make sure that your logged onto the administrators account on your computer. They will have access to updating and downloading and you shouldnt have problems with permission. If permission is needed and you need to give a password, ask whoever owns the administrator account for the password for it.

    You could try uninstalling your current flash player then reinstall flash player 8+ onto your computer and try it again.

    hi i tried that ..now not only do i get that message agout the flash player i also get this....access violation at 0x00514389 what do i do im really frustrated someone plzzzz help
