Adobe Flash Plug-in installations for mandatory training course

Hello ...we have an environment which uses IE 11 on Windows 7 PC's. There are approximately 300 users that will need to take this training course. The problem is, the adobe flash plug in requires administrative access to install. There are some others that use different browsers but for the most part IE 11 is used. When I tested this out we could not launch the course without the plugin and we could not install the plugin without admin rights. Other in my department believe that it will install without admin rights but from what I have experienced after testing with multiple users the installation of the plugin on IE browsers does require admin access. I would like to know if there is a quicker/better way to get this plugin installed without doing it manually on all 300 machines?

The version of Flash player on each PC varies, some need to be updated, but some are the most current available for the W7 operating system.

Thank you

    Hi,

Yes, Flash Player writes to protected directories, as such, it requires Admin rights.  However, based on your post, it appears you're distributing Flash Player within your org.  If so, you'll need to license Flash Player for distribution (free for most use cases).  Once you apply for a license, you'll get access to the full MSI and EXE installers which you can use to distribute Flash Player via any number of software distribution tools, such as Microsofts SCCM, among others.

To apply for a license go to Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe

More information on distribution Flash Player is available in the Flash Player Administrator Guide.
