Under my Kaspersky internet protection it will not let me update my Adobe flash player 13active X, It says it is an important update but It keeps failing and says it is an unkown error. I followed all the help tabs and they didn't help because my internet setup is different and i think newer than the post i was looking at (i use chrome web browser but also have internet explorer.) Please help me fix this problem so my kasparkey can update and so my computer is not at risk!

Thank you!

I would try just updating Flash Player using the official installers available directly from Adobe:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

If the installation fails, reboot.

If the installation continues to fail, see the installation troubleshooting guide, here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html

Links to the offline installers are at the bottom of the guide.

Hi,

From where did you download the 'Adobe flash player 13active X' file?  The latest version of Flash Player is 23, not 13. What is the exact file name for the file you are trying to install?  We provide Kaspersky with all files with each release so they can whitelist them and they should not be blocking any valid Flash Player installer files.

My local best buy geek squad re-downloaded it because there was a problem with my kasparkey that wasnt letting me into my computer. So they were supposed to update everything for me but when i got home i had this problem. The information that it gives me is vendor: Adobe Systems, Version: 13.0.0.214>22.0.210 And the size of update is 19MB. I am not trying to download anything unless it needs to be for this update my kasparkey just tells me the Activex file wont update.. I have tried following all the help links on Adobe.com about the activex file and nothing has helped.

Version 13.0.0.214 is ancient (released May 13, 2014) and, quite frankly, shouldn't have been installed on your system.  The latest version, 23.0.0.162, was released yesterday.  Launch IE and go to https;//get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download 23.0.0.162  Again, Kaspersky shouldn't be blocking anything as we send them our installers with each release to whitelist.
