Adobe update no longer supports streaming video?

Streaming videos on Amazon Prime using Flash on Firefox stopped working a few days ago on both Windows 7 and 10.  Amazon claims that Adobe no longer supports streaming video playback.  Here is what they told me yesterday:

04:12 PM PDT Tushar: The thing is recently Adobe discontinue the support of Amazon video and other video playback services.

04:13 PM PDT Tushar: Adobe encountered with a major playback issue with their software, that is why they requested to pull playback support from all streaming platforms.

They were unable to provide any additional information and suggested that I reach out to Adobe.  Can someone please verify that this is true, and provide a link to more information about this?  Thanks.
