Adobe update preventing imbedded video

Recently an Adobe update prompt has prevented me from playing Youtube videos previously successfully imbedded in a powerpoint.  This is extremely frustrating!  I have followed the prompt, succesfully downloaded updates only to get the same prompt again.  I'm using Powerpoint 2010 and the "insert video from web site" dropdown choice under "insert" tab.  When attempting to play the video the prompt appears: "To play the selected item, you must install a later version of the Adobe Flash Player.  To download the Adobe Flash Player, go to the Adobe Webiste."  HELP!!!!

This might also be occurring due to a change on YouTube's part.  I started hearing reports last week that YouTube had made changes that caused some embedded video to require updates to function.  To narrow this down, try reverting Flash Player back to a previous version to see if the problem continues.

How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player?

    Thanks,

    Chris
