Question

After 11.3 Flash Player upgrade Button cursors do not work on Mac Safari and FF

I just read a post about someone who has the same problem. I thought it was just me, thank god!

I'm running OSX 10.6.8

using Firefox 3.6.13

Safari 5.1

when I upgraded the Flash player to 11 this started happening

All Flash content accessed with the above browsers do not display the button cursor on any Flash sites

Only works in Google Chrome

Any help as I do web development for a living and I can't work like this.

    Hi Yan,

any news on an actual solution to this problem? Here's some more discussion about the same issue: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4050313#4050313

The problem still persists and I find this a fairly fundamental bug to be ignored.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I'm coming at this using Safari 5.1.2 and

    Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55

I'm getting no mouse change onRollover.

    FireFox works great.

    This is a huge deficit!

When will there be a real fix?  I cannot recommend all users in Safari change their browser settings from 64bit to accommodate this glitch...

this works as a fix for safari, and solved the issue for me as well, but as long as im running anything above flash player 10, i have the problem in FF.

Can you try how it look using recent FireFox? Flash Plaeyr 11 do not support FF 3.6 anymore. (BTW my FF is 7.0.1)

If this problem happen with Safari 5.1 but not with FF(> 4.0) and Chrome, we may track this issue better.

    thanks,

Thanks for reporting this problem to us. This is a known issue in Safari 5.1+ running with 64bit mode. We are working together with Apple to fix the problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience that brings to you. As a workaround, you can run Safari 5.1+ in 62 bit mode.

    1. Go to /Applications

    2. Find Safari->RightClick->Get Info->Check 'Run in 32-bit Mode' check box.

    3. Relaunch Safari 5.1 again.

The mouse cursor should work fine this time.

Just let me know if you have any furthre questions.

    Thanks!
