Aging XP laptop- hints to tweak better video performance

Question

Yes guys, I am still on unsupported XP. Even moreso, the laptop has been awesomely reliable, but we're talking Centrino technology. Just wondering if any experts out there have any tweak hints to improve fluid audio/video performance. It seems that with each Flash upgrade my performance degrades- should I revert to an older version? Are there some advanced setting tweaks I could use? Any ideas appreciated!

For what, which, Adobe programs or in general? I think a google search would serve you better than posting on this forum.

I still have 2 computers running XP but I don't use them for much. One is a Dell i8200 notebook that is now 14 years old.
