Aol desktop problems with flash

When I open up AOL desktop I am plagued with pop up screens. Messages saying

Adobe flash player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation.

I have argued this with AOL but they blame browser add ons for this but I don't have any add ons. This only happens with AOL and I can use my computer perfectly okay when not using AOL. AOL will not take responsibility for this.

Can anyone in Adobe shed any light on this and a possible solution to it.

Help please. This is driving me nuts.
