Application initialization error when installing Flash Player

Hi All,

Anyone had an issue when installing latest Flash Player in UK:

OS: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

Browser : IE 11.0.9600.18499

Flash Player: current : uninstalled (not present)

new: latest version as per 2016-10-13

I have traced back the error to be coming from locale certification mismatch.

However when I am trying to reset location to United Kingdom the installer  on Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions  resets it to United States.

Any help appreciated

Hi,

The online installer team reviewed the partial log file contents you provided and indicated the fatal error is due to a certificate mismatch, which can occur if you're using a web proxy that adds its own certificate to all https calls.  Changing locale should not cause any problems.  If you are using a web proxy, disable it and try using the online installer again.  Installation should succeed.

Thank you for providing the detailed information.  I will forward it to the online installer team.  In the mean time, please use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page in the 'Still having problems' section.
