Audio plays but no visual when playing files using shockwave

I was told to ask on this forum as my problem might be my flash player.

I try to open a particular file that uses shockwave, all the other files work fine except this one. When i select the file a new window opens, the file automatically downloads and opens in my VLC player. I have the latest version of shockwave and flash player. I have tried using chrome and internet explorer using Windows 10.

Does anyone have any advice?
