Question

Can I uninstall Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX?

I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to Adobe Flash Player 11 but when I look in the Programs and Features, I see:

Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X

Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin

The Flash Player 10 Active X is an old version that was installed 2 years ago. Should I just uninstall that Active X? Or, keep it?

Hello,

Welcome to Adobe Forums.

Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X - This is the Active X Control for Flash Player 10 (Flash Player for Internet Explorer)

Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin - This the plugin for Flash Player 11 (Flash Player for other browser, like : Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome)

If you do not need Flash Player for Internet Explorer, then you can uninstall Flash Player 10 Active X.

Thanks,

Vikram

You have an old version of Flash Player installed on Internet Explorer.

Using Internet Explorer, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Click Download and follow the prompts to install the latest version.

Thanks,

Sunil
