can not download flash player 10

Everytime i try to download Flash Player 10 on my computer a pop-up says It can't authenticate(mind my spelling) installer. I have no idea why it is doing this. if anyone can help please help

    OS? Browser? Updating to FP10 or fresh install? Antivirus/IS (name)? What app is generating the message?
    Could be several things.
    ...need more info......

    i dont really know myself. I've downloaded it on here before so i dont know what is going at all. I had to completly restore my computer by system restore. The first time i downloaded it worked perfectly now it wont download it at all.

    Hi LeeEnix-
    Why so many downloads? Couldn't get FP to work? IE and Firefox (non-IE browsers) have different methods of downloading/installing. I'm guessing you're XP or Vista. System Restore should've given you back your previous (and hopefully working) FP.
    BUT, you need to uninstall before reinstalling, or it kinda jams up on ya.

    AV progs and IE security can both block the installation. Check IE/Tools/Internet Options/Security. Reset your zones to the default levels.

    there might be a problem on the installer. or it is not compatible.

    Sorry, didn't mean to jump in on ya. I was kinda on a roll.....all help is appreciated.
    I'd really like to see more folks and esp. Mac folks on this forum. Know any? My Mac friends are getting tired of me....
