I am on day 4 of installing/uninstalling, reading these posts, trying all suggestions, and I must say after 5 hours of doing this today, I am very frustrated. Still not able to install flash so it works. Also, this occurs on two computers...my back is killing me from running from one computer to another! Thanks to Eid for helping, but nothing you have suggested has worked for me. Why can't Adobe go back to version 9? All worked well then. I cannot watch any vids, get popups must download flash. Shockwave is enabled, accelerator is off...now what, if anything?

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium & Vista Business Ultimate

    32-bit

IE 9 Beta and Mozilla (on both) - changed IE to 9 when flash would not work on 8.

    Please??!!! Thanks!

Hi, Review this thread that speaks to running IE without addons. Then download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller to your Desktop. Download the Installer and SAVE it to your Desktop.

    Thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3045035#3045035

    Flash Player Uninstaller:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Flash Player Installer for IE: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html  Use the Windows, IE- EXE Installer

When you are ready to run the Uninstaller and Installer, make sure you use the Administrator Account & Close all browser windows. Disable any messenger services in your system tray(area near the clock)

Run the Uninstaller, then Reboot. Run the Installer, then Reboot.

Go to this test site to confirm: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

    Thanks,
