Can't get Flash to install

I'm running Vista Home Premium and using Firefox 36.0.1.  I go to Adobe site.  Click on Download Flash.  It initializes.  I click on Save file.  It downloads.  I click and then click on Run.  Then Continue.  Then nothing happens.  It's like it's there but it's not.  Appreciate support.
