Ah this is a problem that I had to solve at my work...

Basically you are running firefox on an older version and there are a few conflicts. Mines went into a state of relapse - you would try opening up firefox then it would say " FIREFOX is already open! ". This started to bug me, so i updated it and it fixed it. What has happened is you have an addon which keeps firefox running in the background. So either update or reinstall.

Believe me, its worth it! Firefox is far superior!

Alternatively, you could just try restarting your computer, then try the installation.

    Good luck!

I had the same problem and had to shut firefox down manually in the task manager.

Ctrl Atl Delete into the Task Manager and see if FireFox is listed in the Process list. If so then shut it down that way.

    Then try to reinstall.
