Can't install Flash Player

I'm unable to install the latest upgrade. I get a "Script Error" dialog box, with "An error has occurred with the script on this page" "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page Yes/No" All instances of browser (Firefox) are closed. Antivirus is Norton Internet Security. System is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

I've not been able to reliably install/update Flash on OS X EVER; not since I bought my first Mac in 2010. Adobe: please fix your product!
