Hello,

I am using Chrome (SRware Iron 54.0.2850.0 64-bit) and Internet Explorer 11.

Latest version of Flash Player NPAPI, PPAPI and ActiveX are installed (Flash 23.0.0.207)

My system: Win7 64bits

With Chrome and IE 11, I can play Youtube video but many Flash video on Yahoo Japan won't play.

The url is:

http://gyao.yahoo.co.jp/

Most video will play without problems, but many won't play. Unfortunately adobe error message are in Japanese so I cannot see exactly what is said, I cannot find the error code anywhere.

Here are links provided for test...

ATTENTION: you need to be in Japan or to use a VPN server in Japan to access the videos!

The following links give systematically a "Error Code: bc1001" message and won't play:

The link below will return another error code (code "sth2") and won't play as well:

The following flash video link will play without problem:

Here is a page test with 3 kind of Flash video provided by Yahoo Japan:

GYAO!

The 1st and 3rd video links work fine, the 2nd link always fails ("Error Code: bc1001").

On my laptop under Win 8.1, the same problem occurs. That's even worse, the 1st type of video won't play and it gives a "sht1" error code

I've tried to uninstall reinstall Flash Player, reset browser settings, clean Flash and browser cache, etc... But still no way.

Thanks for any help!

This appears to be a misconfiguration on Yahoo's side.  If you look in the console of your browser's developer tools, you'll see that they're returning HTTP 403 (forbidden) for requests that look like their HLS video streams.  Not much you can do about this but complain to Yahoo about it.

It's very frustrating, but thank you very much for your support!

Concerning the second error code sth2 (or sometimes sth1) that appears when I try to play some videos, I do not experience it on my desktop computer (windows 7), while I often encounter it on my laptop (same browser & flash player, but win 8.1). Do you have any clue about the reason?
